A very quick journal to let you all know firstly that David has had his 18 month post chemo check up with the Cancer Specialist this week and the Consultant is extremely pleased to see how well David has recovered.
Second piece of good news our daughter had her first child today so we are grandparents. She had a little boy, no name as yet and mother and baby are doing well.
We are really pleased and have been very concerned for her as she will 40 next month. It is also a relief to know that David is still clear of cancer.

Some of you may know from previous journals that my son had Hodkins Lymphoma last year and was seriously ill after chemotherapy. He has had his year after chemo scan and visit with the Consultant yesterday and we were told he is all clear. There are no signs on the scan that he had ever been unwell. So we are elated to say the least and now life can hopefully continue with a bit less stress.

I have quite a lot of catching up to do as I have just come back after three weeks away in France. You maybe seeing some more photos of my escapades. Please bear with me while I catch up with some if not all of my messages and deviations.

Some of my friends will know that my son David was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma (lymphatic cancer) last November. He has had 4 cycles of chemotherapy (nasty stuff to say the least). He was quite ill in March and April. Yesterday we saw his consultant to hear results of a PET scan and we were told that he is no longer has cancer. As you can imagine it was a very emotional and happy day for us all. Now we can get on with life to the full again.
